Hi, I’m Yanique Williams.
Yanique Williams, LICSW, is a therapist, educator, researcher, and founder of Full Joy Mental Health Services. She created this practice to offer something many have struggled to find: a space where they feel deeply understood, culturally affirmed, and emotionally safe enough to fully exhale.
Her approach is warm, thoughtful, and grounded in genuine connection. She works with people navigating trauma, relationships, motherhood, life transitions, anxiety, burnout, and the emotional weight that so many quietly carry every day.
As both a therapist and researcher, she brings years of clinical experience along with a deep understanding of the mental health experiences of Black women and families. Her work in maternal mental health and reproductive justice is deeply personal and rooted in care, advocacy, and creating safer spaces for healing.
She knows that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you are used to being the strong one for everyone else. At Full Joy, you do not have to perform, overexplain, or shrink yourself to be understood. You are allowed to show up exactly as you are.
